Brock's Birthday in Deadwood

I know this was almost a month ago, but I've been terribly busy with school and have zero time to keep up on this thing! Well, enjoy photos from a month ago :-)

Spent the night in Sundance Friday, then headed to Deadwood, S.D. Saturday. Joe took us out to the bars at 12:01 so Brock could enjoy his first drink.

Playing some pool and enjoying some popcorn.

Taking the trolly into the heart of Deadwood!

Our trolly companion :-)

Where most of our time was spent....

Erica and I enjoying the nightlife.

Where Brock and Joe spent most of their time....and money!

Singing some karaoke!

"I've got friends in low places!"

Friends!

Some yummy cupcakes from Erica....a great 3:00 am snack :-)

The Adventures of Fixing a Windmill...Step by Step by Step...

First the cow gets thirsty

This one was very impressed by me

From the cows perspective

Then you notice that there's not enough water coming out of the ol' pipe there

Yep, definetly no water being pumped

The hubby calling for backup because he broke something off of the certain doo hicky that connects to the pump thingy

The only part I remember from this phone conversation was that he needed a "male part"

Then I was explained the birds and the bees of windmills :-)

Busy pulling the long part of the windmill out of the ground to investigate what ranchers call "leathers"

This ended up being the culprit of today's adventure

And there they are......worn out leathers

Overview of the problem

New leathers are like brand spanking new shoes to girls

Although leathers can last up to a year and I don't know about you girls but I sure can't go that long without buying a new pair of shoes??????

I decided I should make an appearance on this blog every once in awhile

Hi family!!!!!!

(Yeah, that's me in the lens. Just in case. I worry people don't "get" me sometimes)

Looks like I need to do a little patch work on those jeans hmm Brock??

And help arrives with the "male part"

Yeah, I don't understand it either

And because I can

Here's a picture of our adorable dog

He's at the stage now where he does nothing but sleep all day

LOVE IT!

Stay-at-home dog mommy?

My weekend consisted of staying at home all day, taking care of our bloodhound and gray cat, which I have no idea what breed she is. I attempted to write a paper Saturday and didn't get done until 5:00 p.m. because I was in and out of our recliner;

-letting the dog out to pee
-spanking him for chewing on the cat
-letting the dog out to pee
-walking the dog
-spanking him for eating out of the litter box
-letting the dog out to pee
-pushing him off our furniture
-spanking him for eating 3, yes 3, christmas ornaments off of our very first married tree!
-you guessed it...letting him out to pee (Although, I'm very proud of him for having only 1 accident in the house this entire weekend)

So, until Brock and I make little people, you'll have to put up with pictures of our little trouble maker....he is kinda cute :-)

My favorite picture from the weekend.

He thinks he's cool for bothering me while doing homework.

My two favorite boys!

Christmas decor and doggie

I haven't finished the "kid's" stockings yet...soon

Our very first married tree!!! Love it. (Don't you like how we set it on top of a chair???)

This is his favorite chew toy...as long as it's not my computer cord I really don't care what he chews on.

Our dog is cute...I'm not gonna lie about it. (I thought this all of last night until I found the pile of poop behind the recliner...seriously dog!)

I love what gravity does to his face :-) No more wrinkles!
